This blog documents the progress (and occasionally not) of my PhD, commenced in late 2004. I'm investigating fashion creation without fabric waste creation through design practice. I feel your pain. The only thing that could make that image a more appropriate visual metaphor is if the signs were written in Elvish, or some other made-up language.
Elvish is related to Esperanto, isn't it? Somehow I suspect learning either would be more useful than doing a PhD.

don't ask me for a reference. i don't care.
